Electronic Poker is a beloved game that can be enjoyed in casinos all over the world, or alternatively at your house on your home computer, using a web connection. The rules are very straightforward and involve the player trying to achieve the best mixture of cards achievable in order to win cash. On this account it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, minus the interaction with competing players. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, like bluffing, will be useless here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the player puts credits (whether it is tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the deal button. A five card hand will be "given out" on the video screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has hold buttons, and gamblers will need to now decide which cards to keep and which to discard. For the cards the bettor would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they want, whether it is all or none.

After the bettor has chosen which cards she wishes to retain, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards will be given out if desired. The round is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.

Generally, the minimum succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payout schedule can range from machine to machine, so that knowledgeable bettors are agile enough to choose the most money-making game each time.

Once the initial round has played out, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any credits that they may have won. Additionally, several styles of the game give the bettor an opportunity to increase their wins, in which situation another game is played. There are also variations between specific machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying characteristics to enhance playability.
