Electronic Poker
Electronic poker is usually played with a machine, which shows the player’s cards on a monitor. Connecting parts of poker and one armed bandits, this form poker is one of the few games in the gambling den where you could legitimately have an actual expectation of winning, as opposed to relying on the plain luck of slots or roulette.
The player places a bet and the electronic poker machine deals five cards from a common 52-card pack. The player then has a single option to maintain or discard any number of unneeded cards, and is given an equal number of replacement cards from the pack.
Following the new cards are given out the payouts are calculated based on the 5-card poker hand. The payout depends on the particular variation of game begin bet on.
