Electronic Poker is a popular game that is able to be played in casinos across the globe, or alternatively at home on your home computer, through an Internet account. The game rules are very simple and consist of the player trying to achieve the highest mixture of cards as you can in order to acquire money. On this account it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, minus the interaction with any other players. Of course, methods used in a physical game of poker, like tricking, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or money) into the machine and pushes the draw button. A 5 card hand will then be electronically ‘dealt’ on the video screen.

The Electronic Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and gamblers should now pick which cards to keep and which to discard. For the cards the gambler wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.

After the gambler has selected which cards he wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards will be handed out if desired. The game is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the pay out schedule.

Normally, the lowest succeeding hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can range from game to game, so that knowledgeable enthusiasts are agile enough to choose the most beneficial machine each instance.

As soon as the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to stay on in an attempt to maximize their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any credits that they may have won. Additionally, a few versions of the game give the enthusiast an opportunity to double their profits, in which case another hand is played. There are also differences between specific machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other differing elements to increase playability.
