Electronic Poker is a beloved game that is able to be wagered on in casinos across the world, or alternatively at home on your PC, through an Internet account. The rules are absolutely simple and consist of the player attempting to achieve the greatest mixture of cards as you can in order to win cash. In this respect it is much the same as a classic game of poker, minus the involvement with any other players. Of course, techniques employed during a physical game of poker, such as tricking, will be useless here.

The game of Video Poker starts when the enthusiast inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the draw button. A hand of five cards will then be "handed out" on the screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and players will need to now decide which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the player wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons should be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, whether it’s all or none.

After the enthusiast has selected which cards he or she would like to retain, the player will then press ‘deal’, which will mean that any fresh cards will be handed out if desired. The hand is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.

Typically, the lowest succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It should be known that the payout schedule can change from game to game, so that discerning bettors are agile enough to choose the most beneficial machine every instance.

After the initial round has finished, the player can either decide to stay on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that they may have won. Further, some versions of the game allow the gambler a chance to increase their winnings, in which instance a further hand is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some virtual decks including wild cards and other varying elements to increase playability.
